Old House 12 is a shallow U-shape and stands on your left as you enter the gate to Geshe-la's house. Here it is, from the second storey of the new wing, before the old roof was removed. (It's a single storey; the building behind is separate, part of the neighbouring khangtsen.) To the left of the picture is one of the solar panels which powers emergency lighting for House 12. This means monks can study even during the very frequent power outages. This was funded by Good Fortune Trust supporters in 2006.
