Losar (Tibetan New Year) Feb 2007
Losar is the Tibetan new year, a time of great celebration for Tibetans everywhere. It's always celebrated on the new moon in February, which this year falls this Sunday (18 February). The monks, both at Sera Je and Khangmar monastery, will do puja together until late into the night on Saturday. They will be making especially strong prayers for their sponsors.

We rejoice in the kindness of all our sponsors of monks at Sera Je and Khangmar Monasteries and Jilhu Ritrek Nunnery, and benefactors who have made such generous offerings in support of Khangmar monastery. Geshe Tashi Tsering offers his heartfelt thanks.

Below left is the carefully hand-lettered message in a Losar card sent by the monks of Geshe Tashi Tsering's house at Sera Je monastery in India.
